They are taking Reiss in for surgery today around 11 or 12. They will do the bone marrow biopsy, spinal tap, insert an iv port, as well as, put chemo in his spinal fluid. It is a big day for our little guy. He had a better night last night, and was able to rest a little better. He has been poked for blood over eight times. :( He has two IVs in. One for antibiotics and the other for blood transfusions. It is very sad when someone comes into his room. The first thing out of his mouth is "Don't hurt me!" or "Are they going to hurt me?" It breaks my heart just thinking about it. He keeps telling Amber, "I want to go home" or "I want to go to Granny's house". That little boy just wants OUT of there!
Amber said that the day Reiss was admitted to PCMC (which was Friday), SEVEN other children were also admitted, and diagnosed, with leukemia. There were seven families whose lives were shattered on Friday. Seven little children that are starting on this exact journey our sweet little Reiss has started. It is unbelievable.
Thank you for the love, support and prayers for the Timothy Family, and their extended families. We have felt the love and are so grateful for the concern and well wishes. This is just the beginning of a very long journey, but I am so grateful my sister and her family has so many that love and care for them. Thank you!
