Meet Presley...

Pretty Little Presley

This post could get a little confusing. Just remember Amber's sister, Erin, is writing this post. :)

I want to introduce you to my sweet little niece, Presley. She is my husbands sisters little girl. She is a darling little girl, with the cutest curly hair, and the sweetest personality! She loves princesses, skiing, being outside, books, games, swimming, and her baby brother, Crew. Her and my daughter, Jada, are two peas in a pod, and the cutest cousins.

You will NEVER believe this...

Presley was diagnosed with ALL leukemia 2 days ago.  Just one month after Reiss received the exact same diagnosis. What are the chances, right!?

So although Reiss and Presley aren't related in any way.... I (Erin) am related to them both! Reiss is my nephew and Presley is my neice.  My kids have TWO cousins, one on each side of the family, fighting this fight. Isn't that crazy, sad and unbelievable?!?

Reiss and Presley don't know each other yet, but I am hoping they will soon become little cancer buddies! I also hope that Amber and Alysa (Presley's mom; my sister in law) will draw strength and encouragement from each other.  My heart is broken for both of these darling kids and their families. But, I am so grateful for the encouraging prognosis, and the confidence from the doctors, that both Reiss and Presley can and WILL beat this.  They are both being treated at Primary Children's in SLC.

I don't share this story, for any other reason, than to bring awareness to the unbelievable amount of children diagnosed with childhood leukemia. Our families are feeling it so very profoundly.
