It has taken me a couple days (two weeks actually) to find the right words to describe the amazing event that took place in Price, on June 15, for little Reiss. There are no words to do it justice....awesome, incredible, unbelievable and wonderful! It was absolutely AMAZING! To witness the love and support for this little boy, and his family, was unreal! There is so much good in this world, and Saturday evening was filled with some of the most giving, supportive and wonderful people. This fundraiser was through the non-profit organization, Anything For A Friend. Becky Anderson, the woman behind this organization, and cancer survivor herself, is an inspiration. She has taken the concept of "pay it forward" to a whole new level! Believing that humans have the innate desire to connect and help each other when someone is in need, she has helped families, friends, and communities organize dozens of fundraising events, raising over $750,000 for those in need. Bringing hope and financial relief to families who have been devastated by the words "You/your child have cancer.

Friends and Cousins singing their little hearts out! |
I think Amber summed it up best in her facebook status that night:
"I am SPEECHLESS!!! I don't even know where to start....... Thank you so much for the MOST amazing evening EVER!!!!! My heart is full, my eyes are dry(too much crying) and my cheeks are hurting(too much smiling). Thank you, to ALL, who made this evening possible. It is Incredible what a small community can do to bring so much hope, love, and support to someone when the opportunity arises....... We are so grateful and blessed. We can not wait for the time to PAY IT FORWARD!!!!!!♥"
Timothy Family June 15, 2013 |
These are the first pictures of them receiving their NEW CAR!! They had no idea this was for them. In fact, when I asked Amber about it she thought it was part of the auction! :) Price Auto Group donated a three years lease on 2012 Ford Focus to help with gas costs, going to and from Primary Children's. It gets 40 mpg, and can fit all three kids in the back. This is such a blessing to them! And to top it off, Farm Bureau (Richard Hackwell) provided one year of free insurance.
It was a very emotional moment, as you can imagine! |
Kenny nearly hit his knees! Bent over in shock! |
Amber in shock as well, trying to cover those teary eyes! |
Kenny hugging the owners of Price Auto Group- Thank you!
A little peak inside their new car. |
Amber still in disbelief...and even still two weeks later! |
The amazing Hackwell women |
There are SO many individuals to thank for making this event possible and successful! A HUGE thank you to the Hackwell Families... ALL of you! :) Without them, this fundraiser would not have happened. The time, effort, stress, money, and thought that went into this event was infinite. The Timothy's are so lucky to have such wonderful friends like you! Also a very big thank you to every single person on the organizing committee! Thank you will never be enough, but please know that your time, efforts, sacrifice, and contribution is recognized and appreciated! To our family at Bella's... Thank you, we love you, and loved having your there! For anyone who helped in any other way, and who attended this event. THANK YOU! You have ALL made a difference in the life of this little family.
THANK YOU!! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!!

Becky did a sweet little recognition to Tayger and Amiah. This cancer journey is so hard on them too. I think they felt special. Don't mind my little Ellie up there, I'm not sure what she was doing! |
