It's time for an update!!! Little Reiss is doing well. He looks AMAZING! The best part of his birthday, (last Monday), was getting to skip clinic and chemo! His ANC was only at 300 and it must be at 750 for treatment. So he was off the hook on his special day! He was pretty happy about that!
Yesterday (Monday) his counts were back up, so off to clinic they went! He was in a great mood and all the nurses commented on how happy he was, and how AMAZING he looked! It's crazy what skipping a week of chemo can do! He was talkative and playful. Such a little charmer!
He played with the toys while he received chemo. |
He pushed the shopping cart as well. |
And he ordered mac and cheese and a corn dog for lunch! He was mad that his corn dog was cut! I guess its mandatory for it to be cut for children under the age of 4! :) |
Reiss is such a little trooper! So tough, so brave, so AMAZING! During that first month; when he was so swollen, so hungry, so moody, and couldn't walk, we wondered if we would ever see that happy, active little boy again. Life is different for sure, but it is so wonderful to have these good days and to see these smiles. I know this little boy has brought so much faith, love and hope to his family and community. He is pretty AMAZING!
Reiss was chosen as the beneficiary for this AMAZING fundraising event! Have you checked it out? Please consider being a sponsor, or donating items for the auction.
