Reiss Timothy was born on April 22, 2010 to Amber and Kenny Timothy.
He is the baby of their family, and is adored by his older sister, Amiah, age
7, and big brother Tayger, age 4.
Reiss is an active little boy who absolutely LOVES being outside, riding
his bike, and playing with his brother and sister. From a very young age Reiss
has loved trucks and tractors of all kinds. His adorable bleach blonde hair, and his contagious smile
and laugh are enough to make you melt.
On February 8, 2013 Amber and Kenny’s world was turned
upside down. Their baby was sick, and they received devastating news that no
parent ever wants to hear.
“Your child has
cancer”.
Reiss was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL),
at just 2 years and 9 months old. He
is being treated as High Risk-ALL. While the doctors at Primary Children’s
Hospital in SLC have given him a good prognosis, the devastation of this cancer
is still prevalent. Reiss will
undergo treatment for at least THREE years! This includes multiple lumbar
punctures (chemo inserted into the spinal fluid), bone marrow biopsies, blood
transfusions, and countless trips to Primary Children’s for chemotherapy and
other procedures. This has been,
and will continue to be, a long and overwhelming journey for Reiss and the
whole Timothy family. With a lot of love, prayers and community support, we
believe that Brave Little Reiss will come out on top!
