Today Reiss and Amber headed to SLC for his chemo. Reiss was excited to donate some tractors to clinic! They have lots of trucks and cars, but no tractors! So this was fun for him!
Here he is with the child life specialist. I think they have such a fun job!
They get to bring smiles to these sweet little faces!
Of course he wanted to test them out!
They are Reiss approved!
Then she brought in some type of powdery substance, brown paint, and water.
Using a syringe, they squirted the "muddy water" into the powder and made dirt!
And of course when you have dirt, you must drive your tractors in it!
I'm always impressed how this hospital tries to make these visits as fun as possible for these sweet little cancer kids. Reiss has some anxiety and fear about these visits because he knows he has to get a shot in his leg. Once the shot is over, he is able to relax and enjoy some of the fun activities they provide him. They provided lots of fun today!
They also got to see Presley at clinic today! I'm glad Amber snapped a picture! Love these two!
Reiss seems to be feeling a little better. The stomach bug is pretty much completely gone, plus he is off of steroids this week, and that makes a big difference.
He'll be back to PCMC on Friday and Tuesday (Monday is a holiday) .
We'll keep you posted.
